And Now, Some Interesting Facts…
- None of last year’s Regional Champs even made the cut this year.
- Several people tried to find the deepest cut characters… Really? Even I didn’t know who one of these ladies was.
- The Cartoon Region was difficult to fill, and as such two ladies were shifted from Anime to Cartoon. They appeared in Robotech, which I know that’s a dirty word to a lot of folks. But please note Misa Hayase (not Lisa Hayes) remains in the Anime region. It IS possible to like both the American Frankenstein and the original anime which fueled it.
- Not one but TWO Toshio Hirano ladies! I’ve always wanted to draw his characters so that made me a happy Stig.
- We also have a hugely diverse Comics region this time around. Our first ever lady form a Webcomic, and a Manga lady who, while she could have gone both Comic or Anime, we thought she as more famous for the original manga.
